Description
Along the banks of the Nile, where earth and water meet, a craft was born that shaped daily life in Ancient Egypt: Pottery. Early Egyptians began with simple hand-moulded forms, coiling strips of clay into bowls and jars. But by the Old Kingdom, the potter’s wheel transformed the art — allowing for smoother lines and more symmetrical shapes. From the potter’s wheel to the shimmer of faience, each vessel was more than an object… it was a fragment of Egypt’s soul, preserved forever.
